No. You need a physical copy of the FP letter.

What's the big rush?

I am supposed to start Med School in Caribbean on Jan 7th and it will be hard for me to take time off from school and fly back and forth. I am trying to get things organized before I start the school.

You will definitely finish your FP before the end of this year. Relax. :)

I am curious, once we get the email about FP letter is mailed, can we go for Early Bio and show that email? Or do we need the physical copy of the letter with us before we can go for walk in Biometrics?

Nope, wait for the official letter. But once the letter arrives, you can try an early walk-in. If they are not too busy, they will take your prints.

A physical copy of the letter is a must when you go in for the biometrics. As suggested by other users, you can walk-in early to the ASC to get your fingerprinting done. Go with your letter to the ASC and request an early fingerprinting test, it will be granted most of the time. Since you have got the email, you will receive the letter very shortly. so you can definitely finish it off before you fly to the Caribbean.Good Luck!!

USCIS reminded me of my military days, runs on paper, can't be a second late or in deep trouble, but can wait for hours, days or months without knowing what in the hell is going on.

Its not only fingerprints, also take your photo now for your certificate, gee, my stepdaughter is also a Jessica and wanted to study aboard. So remove your jewelry, comb your hair, and dress nicely from your chest up when you go in. And don't smile.

She put off her citizenship until the last minute when she got the opportunity to study in England, needed that US passport, but we made it. She is there now and having a complete blast, people are wonderful, her professors are cool. Just wondering if after all we went through to get her citizenship, if she is ever coming back.

USCIS would be entirely different if everybody was threatening to leave this country. May even reduce the fees or pay you to stay here, may even be nice for a change.
