Hello to all first time writing on this wonderful site. My question is my wifes case as just been approved by nvc on 10/24 and now i guess we are waiting for an interview date in the dominican republic. I called the nvc yesterday and they said for me to call back on the 2nd week of november so they can give me an interview date,,, is this true? Can the nvc schedule interview like they told me. Another question is we have a daughter together and she already has her US citizenship via me, do i need to take her to the consulate interview when we get it, or can i just take her consular report of birth (birth certificate) as evidence?

I'm not very familiar with the Cr1 process but check the this flowchart below.

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/NVC_Process_Flowchart_v1-2.pdf

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20

NVC usually schedules appointments on the second week of the month but they can also do it any day of the month, its like everything else in this immigration journey.

You should join the forum of NVC-November so that you can stay updated with everyone else in your same boat.

You do not have to take your daughter to the consulate. Her birth certificate should be sufficient.

Call every day...don't wait for the 2nd week...they are just giving you a line and yes, for the CR1 they provide the interview date to you. Other VIsas are scheduled by the embassy themselves, but the CR1 is done through NVC. You do not have to take your daughter as they prefer children not be there unless the interview is related to them, but you should bring all documentation that she has her Citizenship,etc.... I'd check the SD Embassy website though about bringing her. I could swear it says only those interviewing can attend.
