NVC concern... How true?

Hi guys!

My fiance just talked to NVC since we just got our approval yesterday (idk why he called nvc, maybe because he got all excited all of a sudden - hahaha!). Anyway, the operator said they usually get the uscis notification 15 days after.

Is this true? Or they are just saying that so we won't be bugging them earlier than that?

I called after 1 week and was told I was calling way too soon ha ha, so I gave it another full week and then was able to get my MNL #. Jim.

that's what they are trained to say to give them time to process docs back to you...and probably also so you will wait that long first before bugging them again

probably both true. even took some people a month (or more) before they got their case number.

I think it's always different, cause for me I called them everyday for three days until they told me what happen to my case, and the first two days they told me that my case would take 15 days, but on the third day they told me it left the NVC the day before

Then for my friend Ray, his case took a whole month to go through the NVC.

But of course, my NOA2 was also screwed up cause they never gave me a notice of it, we just got it in the mail randomly after thinking we were doomed.
