I-130 almost ready to go..need advice

Greetings,

I will be applying to bring my wife over to the U.S. Starting the process,

I see that I-130 is the firs thing to do. I have been reading loads of websites

and so far, because I am already married, I-130 is what every one is saying to start with.

I am not too "word savvy" and actually am not to clear on the beginning to end process.

Please can any one help?

As I am to start with I-130, exactly what other forms and information do I need to

apply? I checked the step by step guide, which is quite clear, but my question still isn't satisfied.

All I do is start with I-130 and then ...not too sure after that.

Please help...I'm ready to set everything in motion in a few days.

The step by step guide lists everything needed. Anyone posting a detailed reply would be reproducing the step by step guide.

I recommend that you read all of the form instructions completely.

I found the step by step guides very helpful going through the visa, Adjustment of Status, Removal of Conditions, and Naturalization stages.

Also read through the appropriate regional forum to get embassy/consulate specific information for the interview phase.

This is a very good do it yourself site. If you find that you are not comfortable with doing what is required on your own, a visa service may be helpful to you.

Thanks. I just needed to make sure, even though things here are very clear and straight forward in explanation.

Better safe than sorry. :-) (not sure but I replied before and it somehow ..didn't go through. haha)

Well, if the step by step guide is the way to go, the next few days I'll be sending it all out. Checking eveyrthing 50 times

just to make sure.

Does that mean I should follow the process for a CR-1 visa, or follow the process for the I-130?

I checked for the I-130, and that seems to be the form I should use.

I-130 is the form you use to file the petition. CR-1 is the visa your spouse will apply for.

My reason for mentioning the visa your spouse is ultimately going to apply for is you have said K3 visa in your information and you posted in the K3 forum.

It's not so much that you posted in the wrong forum. Your profile says K3 and you posted in the K3 forum. Do some reading though and I think you'll want to pursue the CR1 visa instead. If that's what you decide, you'll also want to edit your profile to indicate CR1 instead of K3.

Thank you for the direction. I have filled all the paper work for the I-130. All the info/packet will

be mailed out this week.

I have been reading since I reutrned from China a week ago...at least here, I found the right direction to pursue.

Since your wife is from China, then you will want to know that frontloading your petition (meaning including as much relationship evidence as possible) is essential.

I'm thinking, along with everything else I have to send,

do I print out and submit all 2000 emails we shared with each other? hahaha

Is it okay just to send one from my wife and one from my self, or do I need to send out duplicates?

If she doesn't have an A#, does she still print her name in that part?

She prints her name and writes None for A#.
