Q11 - Form I-134 Affidavit of Support

Hi,

Great Site - We are in the process of filling out the Affidavit of Support form and wanted to know if anyone can provide some clarification/advice on the following question:

Q11 - I intend /or do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person named in q3

How important is it to intend to do this. My fiancé's income is well above the 125% poverty line- do we really need to make specific contributions as we would prefer not to put this. However If it is something that will greatly go against our application we would.

Any advice would be great!

For Quetsion 11.

I , refers, to the PETITIONER (US Citizen) who SHOULD INTENT to make specific contributions to the Support of the person named in Q3 THE BENEFICIARY.

If you answer NO, Immigration officials at the consulate will look at this and start asking questions, and ask WHO will support the BENEFICIARY..

Again, that's your right to put there, no problem.

I have been told by countless immigration officials at 'some' embassies, that leaving a box unchecked and simply putting Not Applicable K1 petition, would warrant further questioning. this is unlikely at most embassies, but, other some have different protocols.
