Reading over the steps to AOS and getting a GC, I saw that some people had to go through Removal of Conditions and some don't. I noted that the majority of people who had to ROC were those from countries like the UK and Canada. Just wondering if you had to ROC or not.

I would say 95%+ of people have to go through ROC. The only time that you don't have to do ROC is if you wait more than 2 years to file your AOS. Since you remove conditions after 2 years, if you have already waited out that period (by delaying AOS) they will issue your 10yr green card instead of your 2yr conditional one.

If as a K1 you get married within the 90 days and file AOS right after your marriage, you will need to file for ROC within 90 days of your conditional CG expiring.

Mostly everyone from a K1 perspective does - it's a necessary evil.

On the bright side - you're about 3/4 yrs away from citizenship once you move here and then you can kiss USCIS goodbye

The only way you would skip ROC is if you did an IR-1 visa, which means you were already married for 2 years when you filed and received a 10 year greencard upon entry.

ROC has nothing to do with what country your from!!

Has to do with the fact you have a 2 year green card and not a 10 year green card.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Removal of Conditions as Inky said has nothing to do with any country. It has to do with the fact that you get a conditional green card, conditional due to the fact your spouse signed forms stating he is respsnsible for you. you want to remove those conditions, which usually requires you to both file "jointly".

Then you get your 10 year green card and can file for nauturaliztion if you want or just keep renewing yoru PR card every 10 years.
