Received Interview letter VERY CONFUSING...Need help please!

My husband and I received the appointment letter for his CR-1 Visa interview in Casablanca. We are very confused and need some guidance. Would you please help? See below for questions. Sorry for the long post.

1) The appointment letter states that he needs to bring original documents if they haven't been submitted to the NVC. They gave a long list of what was required/missing. We BELIEVE that we do not need to bring any additional documents. It SEEMS like everything is on file. What do you think? The legend for this is as follows:

* Document Status Description

A = Applicant must acquire this document and present it at the time of the interview.

C = Direct inquiries to your consulate / embassy

D = Certified document received

F = This form is not necessary for this application.

I = The required form is incomplete. Please ensure that a complete form is presented at

the interview.

O = The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post

requirements.

P = The police certificate must be requested by the applicant. If you have already

applied for this document, no further action is required. The issuing police authority

will send the police record directly to the appropriate US Embassy to have on hand

at the time of the interview.

R = The electronic DS-260 form has been submitted and reviewed.

S = Scanned document received. The original document must be presented at the time

of the interview.

T = An acceptable document has been received, but a translation is required as the

submitted document is not in English or the official language of the processing post.

The applicant must present a certified translation at the time of the interview.

U = The applicant has informed the NVC that the required document is unavailable.

X = The required document is unobtainable for this country per the Foreign Affairs

Manual.

Y = The required document has been received.

$ = Payment received.

2) Does he need to bring any additional fees other than the Visa Application fee which is already paid? Are there fees for fingerprinting or something?

3) Will he receive any further information in the mail? I have heard of things being mailed to the applicant (aka Package Three). Is this a thing of the past or will he expect something in the snail mail?

4) Does he need to fill out any additional paperwork or sign anything additional to be submitted prior to his interview? I have heard of some people having to fill out other types of forms like a DS-156 or something?

5) How far in advance should he arrive at the consulate?

I'm not sure what others did, but I mailed EVERYTHING I had sent in during this process to my husband, and had him take it with him to the interview. I also had him pull out the copy of his birth cert, our marriage cert, and an extra copy of the Appointment letter in case they asked for them up front. Also in the package I mailed to him, I included originals of all the forms I signed...just in case. But the appointment letter you received just shows what they have received. Read it by comparing '*Document Status Description' with 'Document Name Document Status' and the letter noted after the document name. From the Legend it looks like you have sent and met all the documents required.

2) Does he need to bring any additional fees other than the Visa Application fee which is already paid? Are there fees for fingerprinting or something? All fees were paid at NVC. However, I did send copies of all the Receipt of Payments (USCIS & NVC) with the documents I mailed to him.

3) Will he receive any further information in the mail? I have heard of things being mailed to the applicant (aka Package Three). Is this a thing of the past or will he expect something in the snail mail? Not sure what Package 3 is. I have seen discussions for a Package 3, but that was for the K-1 Visas, but not the CR-1/IR-1 visas.

4) Does he need to fill out any additional paperwork or sign anything additional to be submitted prior to his interview? I have heard of some people having to fill out other types of forms like a DS-156 or something? DS-156 is for NonImmigrant Visas (K-1, etc.) You are applying for CR-1/IR-1, which is an Immigrant Visa, so don't need that.

5) How far in advance should he arrive at the consulate? Can't answer this one, but perhaps if you ask in your country specific forum someone there can tell you. Hope this helps.
