B2 visa for a K1 fiance?

Hi, Can my fiance who is in the early stages of the K1 visa process come to the US on a B2 visa? We just received an approval on the visa petition and he is gathering his documents for the upcoming interview which hasn't been scheduled yet. He wants to meet my parents. Please help by responding or guiding me to the correct place to find the right information. Thank you and blessings.

Yes he can. But, a French citizen does not need a B2 visa, they can travel on the Visa Waiver Program, which means he can visit the US with just his French passport.
