Hi. I had my interview last September 2, 2011 and was approved for a visa. I've been checking both 2GO e-trace (MNL case number still invalid) and Manila Embassy's email since then to no avail.

The embassy emailed me September 12, 2011 stating that my visa has been issued and will take 5-10 business days. I just checked earlier today (September 14) with 2GO (branch and online) but it still isn't with them.

My flight is on the 22nd. Why is it taking them so long? I live an hour or two outside of Manila.

It's a bit frustrating since I can't schedule CFO seminar (I want to do it one time with the visa on hand since I live outside of Manila) and it seems too close to our planned flight. :(

after you receive you visa you can go to CFO seminar anytime. they don't schedule seminar. it's only walki in seminar. good luck!

dont mix up the CFO and the seminar because they are 2 different agencies. the seminar is walk-in so as the CFO. what you can only download is the CFO form that will be presented when you go to CFO and it doesnt mean that you're already scheduled after you downloaded it

you can attend the seminar 10am in PRISM taft and finish 2pm then go straight to CFO. dont stress yourself too much

10 days is usually 10 business days and 10 business days is really 2 weeks depending on which day you start on. so relax. btw if they issued your visa on the 2nd and it takes 10 business days why plan for it 20 days after. you know US govt is known for dragging things out with plenty of delay. i think you just got super excited lol.

For what it's worth if it helps your time window you can take the CFO seminar while waiting your visa, you just wont get the sticker in your passport until AFTER you have your visa. Jim.
