Hello everyone...

Please help me as I have a huge problem...

My father petitioned for me and my brother..under f2a ... Now we got interviews scheduled for oct 2011 but the dates are weeks apart.. We emailed the embassy and requested them to put both interviews on the same date..but so far no response ..and it has been over 7 working days now...

We need to make travel arrangements as well... We can't wait any longer... Should we mail the embassy to keep the original appointments??

How long does isl us embassy take to respond??

Thanks

Will this create a issue?? Travel arrangements are difficult to make as I am not from Islamabad...traveling by air is the only option...and the travel agent told us to book flights asap...we are in a fix...my father has to come here as well..

Yes we did try to call them many time...but we could not get through...

All we want is for them to respond..they may decline our request and keep the interviews as per schedule but at least respond...is it too much to ask??

You have gotta keep with the embassy dates if no response comes from the embassy.the embassy might not deem fit to reschedule due to travel arrangement and since ur father wld be ard for the interview.it just wld ease the tense moment.

The purpose of calling them is just to gain their attention...

The basic issue is they are not responding...so does any one know how long they take take to respond??

Calling NVC is not an option as they already told us to contact the embassy directly...

Any other advice on what to do in this situation is welcome...

Maybe double check the numbers you are calling and try also calling first thing when the embassy opens. They might get very busy throughout the day and not have a chance to answer the phone. Also double check the e-mail address you are using for them to make sure you are using the most appropriate one and then mark your e-mail as URGENT somehow so it catches their attention.

Those are just some quick ideas that came to mind when I read your post.

Good Luck.

And I am the same as others, if you don't get in contact with them or hear back from them then keep the original dates you were given. From what I have read from others, interview dates can and have been hard to get not to mention reschedule.
