Wow! I had no idea Eastern PA got hit that severely.

We didn't have nearly that amount of flooding in Western PA.

Oh yeah we got hammered.

Here are some more from Philly News station

Wish we could find a way to get some of this to Texas and help with their fires.

I live right in the middle of all the flooding. Harrisburg the city is pretty bad though things are looking better as it went down a few feet. Hershey, the park/chocolate factory, is all under water yet. Luckily We're safe, we don't live right in the city so it pretty much missed us, though depending on how bad it gets tonight when the river crests we may not have water for a few days, and our water is contaminated at the minute, boil water advisory. The flooding is terrible, and it's making roads weak, many high ways closed and tons evacuated.

Prayers out to everyone! Stay safe!

I was in Harrisburg on Wednesday and Thursday until noon, for a work conference. Looking at the pics, I'm glad I left when I did. Back here in the southeastern corner of the Commonwealth it isn't much better though, except for the water boil advisory you all have.

It's so sad seeing everything I grew up around under water. And also sad for everyone who lost everything they've owned. The national guard is in some places helping and many of the damaged places have curfews in place. Luckily the river crested at 25' instead of the predicted 28.5'. But the the creek in Hershey which flood stage is 7' has crested at 27' so that's where a lot of the damage is. The city was more prepared as living on a river is risky. I live on the east side of the river and work on the west so I've had to cross over last night after work, 2 bridges were still open, though a few already under and closed. Now it's mainly just clean up as the water is suppose to go down by tomorrow afternoon, though we did have a few storms pass through last night.

I'm very young so wasn't alive during the last real major flood of agnus in 1972. so I didn't know what to expect. We've had flooding before but I've never seen it like this. Just hoping the rain goes away and lets people get back to their lives and put things back together.

You were pretty lucky to get out when you did, as a few of the major highways (PA turnpike, 22/322) closed so traffic was terrible on the ones still open.

Thought PA was pretty safe but in the last month we've experienced 2 hurricanes, flooding, an earthquake and last night a tornado. Someone upset mother nature.
