Interview date fast approaching and I have a quick question. My fiancee is flying to Rio for the K1 interview. She is not sure for what time she should book her return flight. Any ideas? Specifically, how late are the K1 interviews conducted?

Thanks.

Given that the interview is a stressful situation to being with, there is no need to add to such stress by worrying about whether or not she will make it to the airport in time to catch a flight. My two cents is she should arrange her return flight the day after the interview.

Agreed. If the interview goes late, she will be worrying about getting to the airport on time. Just stay the night in Rio and fly back in the morning. Good luck!

Thanks Menina and Ryan H. I will advice her to think about spending the night in Rio. It is just that she will be missing three days of work (she is arriving in Rio a day before the interview).

Does anyone knows if the interview runs into the mid to late afternoon?

I don't know for sure, but my husband and some of our VJ friends got in and out pretty early in the morning. I wouldn't count on that though. I know it is a pain...my husband missed a week of work with the medical and interview and all. His home is far from Rio. Good luck to you!

I would wait till my visa is in hand, in case their is a mailing or processing delay. Have a good interview.
