Hello everyone!

I know that topics about tourist visas documentation have already been created, but- as we all know- each of us have a different case. I would like to ask you a few questions before I go to my Visa interview next Wednesday. Well, I would rather want to make sure I have everything I need, because I'm concerned about one particular part of the interview- showing ties to your home country, which is the most important thing, I suppose.

I'm a native Polish person who's been living in Ireland for 3 years with her fiance. None of our relatives live here- they're all in Poland. My fiance's only relative lives in Poland, and I'm talking about his mother essentially. I have a huge family, but none of them ever been here, worked here or anything like that. I have just a few friends here; my manager is my best friend and I hang out with her outside of my job. I also hang out with my coworkers and spend time with them outside of the store we work in.

The thing is, that I don't really know if I have good enough documentation to show how strong are my ties to this country. However, I do have plenty of other papers that might be useful. Me and my fiance want to visit our friend in California. He wants to host us at his house for 3 weeks and show us around. What we have is:

1) Our job contracts

2) Letters from our employers (we are both employed full-time), that we are allowed 3 weeks off of work and that we must return to Ireland after our vacation time. I also have a letter from my manager as a friend.

3) Our house contract (we've been living in this particular house for 2 years)

4) I have my bank statement. I'll be covering the expenses. I saved money for the tickets and for all necessities out there. As we're be staying at our friend's house, we won't need to pay for the hotels. I just hope I do have sufficient funds anyway.

Is there anything else I can do to help my case? What's the best way to show my ties to Ireland?

Thank you in advance!

I think you are fine with the documentation you have. Obviously no one can say for sure if it will be enough or not, but you are not coming from a high fraud country (Poland nor the UK), you don't seem to have any close relatives living in the US, you are coming with a fiance who is also a foreigner so no American boyfriend in the picture, and showing proof of work contracts and a place of residence in the UK are good ties. And, in the end, you can't also create ties to UK (or Poland) that don't exist, so got with what you have.

There are a lot of Poles in the UK.

Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for providing me necessary informations about the Visa process. I had my Visa interview this morning in Dublin, Ireland; it was supposed to start at 9 am but it actually started an hour earlier. My visa is approved! I had actually no problem at the Embassy at all, although my hands were shaking horribly, haha. The consular officer was an easy going person, smiley and open minded. Asked just about a few things, like what I do for living and why I want to go to the US.And, of course, how long I intend to stay there. At the end he lifted his thumbs up and said " you guys are on set!". I'm so happy :)
