Hello, I am a green card holder and I only work on weekends thus i make way below the minimum requirement to pay taxes. Do I still need to send the 1040 to the IRS in order to be able to get a citizenship or does the company that I work for send the IRS my earnings? I have had my green card for 2 years and never filed a 1040 because I never made enough money to owe taxes. thank you.

If you don't make enough income, you are not required to file taxes unless you want to do so by choice (such as when you want a refund from IRS). The employer is always legally required to remit your income information to the IRS no matter how small. You won't have any issue with citizenship if you never filed taxes because you never made enough income. You can, however, still request a certificate of non-filing from the IRS (available from their website) in order to show that you did not file taxes and IRS is aware of that (and still don't have a problem with it  ). In any case, during citizenship, the USCIS will ask IRS if you owe taxes and they will say no because their computer would show the minimal income you made (based on the employer report).

Whew Ok thank you that's a big load of my mind lol. I was really scared thinking that there could be a problem. I only work few hours a week because I attend college.
