It's really too bad that the uscis forums were deleted even despite member objections. Upgrading can sometimes be helpful, but not in this case. Formerly, VJ members had a place to go where they could identify and share with others that filed at the same place as they. Combining the forums robbed them of that priviledge. I think it should be put back the way it was for ten days to two weeks, then voted on whether or not to keep it. Course, the decision to remove it was made despite member objections.

Actually the poll was voted on, with a very narrow margin supporting keeping it separate, and the admin decision to condense it to one. Then a few people got their noses out of joint because they didn't bother to look at the site related discussions, only getting involved after something changed. The votes changed accordingly.

Not looking to argue, just wanted to point out the time progression of it.

Wow, if you've been robbed, I recommend the marriage visa group's time-honored tradition of starting your own forum.

It does seem interesting that since having joined on 15 December 2005 that all of your 5 posts (3 in here and 2 on old board) are all related to this issue

TSC and NSC forward the I-130 to CSC

TSC sends I-129F to CSC (though that could possibly be changing)

Following? Even with your point....there is much in common with the above analysis.......CSC

Last time I was on this site there was a poll asking members to vote on whether or not to keep the USCIS forums. The members all voted to keep it. What happened?

They did? I missed it?

Let sleeping dogs lie. It's a new board and all the old posts are GONE... that means ALL of them whether they were good, bad or indifferent. If it was up to me there wouldn't be a service center forum AT ALL because it seems like a waste of space to have a special section of the board that hardly ever gets used.

Karen - Melbourne, Australia/John - Florida, USA

- Proposal (20 August 2000) to marriage (19 December 2004) - 4 years, 3 months, 25 days (1,578 days)

STAGE 1 - Applying for K1 (15 September 2003) to K1 Approval (13 July 2004) - 9 months, 29 days (303 days)

STAGE 2A - Arriving in US (4 Nov 2004) to AOS Application (16 April 2005) - 5 months, 13 days (164 days)

STAGE 2B - Applying for AOS to GC Approval - 9 months, 4 days (279 days)

STAGE 3 - Lifting Conditions. Filing (19 Dec 2007) to Approval (December 11 2008)

STAGE 4 - CITIZENSHIP (filing under 5-year rule - residency start date on green card Jan 11th, 2006)

*N400 filed December 15, 2011

*Interview March 12, 2012

Well they arent gone completely, some are on the old forums which is still kept as archive HERE :)

But we all are going thru the same kinda stuff in the service centers - nebraska has slowed up a lot so its on a par with CSC now for K1s - so I don't see a problem with everyone just supporting each other - and there are more CSC/TSC threads than any others in there anyways.

Note: The vote/discussion about it all was here
