hi all, got another question that I'm concerned about. this friday (Sept 22nd) I will be sending out I-751 for my wife. her greencard expires on Dec 22. we will be going to Japan to her sister's wedding next week Sept 26th and returning oct 3rd. do you think we'll have problem getting back in? technically her greencard isn't expired yet so shouldn't be a problem right? i'm just worried because it's so close to the expiration date. plus we probably won't get a notice of recipt back before we leave next week.

As long as your wife's GC is still valid, she will have no problems re-entering the U.S. upon your return.

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Sept. 5/05... Entered U.S.

Sept. 7/05... I-485 & I-131 sent to CLB

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

we will be in the same situation, only that we are planning to be out of US for 2 and a half months, leaving about 1 month before sending the package.

i will have my package all ready to be send by my mother in law, and hopefully they won't require any more information.

can this be done, or am i being dreamy here, hoping that we can go on our summer vacation without being affected by removing of conditions? B)

Application for NATURALIZATION

sent off to NSC: 07/17/2008

07/19 - delivered at NSC - at 2 AM

07/24 - check cleared

07/28 - received NOA1 (dated 07/21) - expected wait time until interview - 240 days

08/14 - biometrics appointment

10/20 - naturalization interview appointment! - APPROVED!

11/12 - oath ceremony - CHECK!

and we are done with USCIS! yaooohoooo!!!! :)
