Nah.. Casabocobo Hotel is better coz it's quite. I stayed there for my medical it was good and walking distance from SLEC with free buffet breakfast, air conditioned room, crew are very polite and in addition to that it's near Robinson's place too. I actually booked my next stay there for my interview because it's also near USEM of course I did my research while there.

Because the price difference is huuuuuuuge.

We loved Diamond also; but we can't afford to stay there all the time.

Consider Mabini Mansion Hotel which I and my fiancee have stayed at before. And were extremely pleased with. Mabini Mansion is within very easy walking distance of both St. Luke's Medical Extension Clinic and the embassy. The rooms have full kitchens which can help save on food costs. Security is good and standard amenities are available (laundry, phone, TV, AirCon, much more). There are a variety of room types, ranging about 30 USD (about 1300 PHP) and up per night, breakfast included. The less costly, standard rooms, are a bit older but hard to beat the price and the locale. If you don't mind paying a bit more, consider the suite rooms which are **amazingly good** and well worth the extra cost.

I have lodged in many, many of the hotels in this area and other areas of Manila. Plus, I have had opportunity to inspect many others I have not lodged in. True, there are many choices with reasonable prices and accomodations. However, Mabini Mansion Hotel is very, very hard to beat. --RK
