Anyone know what I-130 cases the CSC office is handling now or approximately what month is it that they are by for NOA2? I am on my wait and let me tell you patience is not my biggest virtue, with this I am going to learn how to have lots of it because I have just started and am running out of patience. I got NOA1 on August 17th? Has anyone with NOA1 in July or June received NOA2 yet?

Post times by USCIS from NOA1 to NOA2 is 5 months. Your timeline projects that your file will be adjudicated in mid-November, that projection is subject to change in either direction.

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Unfortunately, the wait for CSC averages 4-5 months. But occasionally some people get lucky and finish in half that time. You can never tell. Then you have the wait at NVC which is shorter, but just as frustrating. Patience is a virtue in this exercise. Best of luck to you.

You can follow the immigration timelines link and see what is the NOA 1 date of the petitions that are currently being adjudicated. However, be prepared for months of waiting without hearing any news and/or updates. You can sign up for automatic updates at the USCIS website. Also, if you are able, travel to see your husband as often as you possibly can as this is particularly important to show a bona fide relationship at the Santo Domingo Embassy (due to being seen as a high fraud country).

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Aztec&Taino I am going every 2 months to DR to see my husband since we started our relationship, I think pretty soon I'll need a new passport to fit the stamps in...LOL! Time away over there helps me let go of all the stress of this process. I am learning the definition of patience with this ride for sure. I just started and like someone said before I am waiting 5 months but praying to God that its way less! Im like a little 5 year old that all I want for Xmas is my NOA2 now. LOL!

Hello...I filed in mid July and received my NOA2's for both I-130 and I129F on Aug 24 from VSC. Less than 2 months. So it looks like I-130 turnaround is very quick;)

Married: 6/17/11

I-130 Sent: 7/9/11

NOA1 : 7/14/11

I-129F Sent: 7/21/11

NOA1: 7/21/11

NOA2: 8/22/11

NVC Received: 8/24/11

NVC Left: 8/26/11

Consulate Received: 9/5/11

Packet 4 Received: 10/4/11

Medical Done: 11/7/11

Interview: 11/23/11

Approved: 11/23/11

Changed to CR1: 12/16/11

Medical Re-Done: 1/5/12

Waiting for Issuance of Visa.........

End of June NOA1 and still waiting. Waiting, waiting, waiting...isn't it just the best? ;-)

I only waited about 40 days for my NOA2 but through VSC. Maybe it depends on that? I hope you get yours soon. Anyone filing I130 seems to have less wait time nowadays. All of the K1's are going through hell waiting, with their horrific interviews. I'm happy I went the route I did.

Very true everything you said. I go monthly to see my husband., Even if its only 3 days, its important to see him.
