Hi Everyone...would someone please enlighten me ? I need to know when to submit the police certificate? is this during the time of the interview or when sending back the DS230 packet to NVC? ..I lived in 3 different countries from the time I turned 16, getting police certificates will be a long wait..thanks so much for your input:-)

A police certificate is required for your visa, not I485 adjustment. Rread the requirements / imstructons sent by the embassy.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

The police certificates are submitted in the IV package, with the DS-230.

Thank you for the reply. I guess I will have to wait for all my 3 polices clearances before sending back the DS230 IV package.

In the DS230 form they asked for all the previous visits to the US, if you have been to the states like 20 years ago, does that count as previous?

Thanks again:-) Saylin..

thanks for the reply, I was just curious if the police clearances are submitted together with the DS230 package.

I don't about Canada but for India, we are able to send a request letter to NVC that we will submit the PCCs at interview and those requests have been accepted by NVC. I guess NVC will do the same for Canada too.

oh this sounds promising, I lived in Bahrain for some years, I applied for PCC like 4 months ago thru Washington DC Bahrain Embassy. Thanks for the info, I think I will do the same, send a request letter to submit the PCCs at the interview:-) I hope it will work out this way. I have been stressing out on this lately. Thanks again NavyK!

Yup, ANY previous visit to the US they want, whether it was yesterday or 20 years ago.
