America Wastes Much Paper, Old People is Productive

So, i have been here for 3 months. I just a little bit relax from having a shock about new life here. I can sleep at the right local time now. Many things that shocks me about America. The most thing that makes me shake my head most is, there is always mail everyday at home. Phone, insurance, school, bank, etc. Another thing of course tons of coupon and price list from the store. Those papers made from wood, from tree, then why we must waste paper for unnecesary thing?. I dont know, i just thing sometimes those mail is not necessary.

Good thing that always makes me says OMG is the fact that old people here still could work even at store. For them who ever been to Indonesia, all you could see is only young persons at store. Sometimes it makes me wanna hug those old workers who still could lift a heavy stuff in Walmart cashier or pushing the trolley in front of ACME.

This is one of the thing that bothers me is that in restroom, i can not find water to wash our private area after we have such things. We just use tissue which is not common for me. Besides, am Moslem, so we have to always clean that part with water once we finish do restroom things.

That's my worries too that there is no water sprinkle in USA toilet :crying::crying:

Atleast even in the phils. some people are using Recycled Ice Cream container just to scoop some water from the water tank to enable to wash your A-- with water & soap... :secret::idea:

My wife carries a container of the Wet Wipes for such a situation. I don't know if it would solve the problem for a Muslim, but it's a try.

Care,

Bill

LOL yeah we had the same issues. When I got here I got my first junk mail in less than 24 hours of being in America! I thought it was so cool! Then they kept on pouring in and it was just annoying. Oh well.

About the older people working, it's because they don't like sitting around and doing nothing. People in the states like to be busy. Even my father in law who should be retiring already is still working and he doesn't even need to.

Yeah, now he said i should become his secretary. Sorting those junks. Please. Seems American workaholic. I even dont like my husband has 2 jobs. I said, come on man!!! I admire their spirit and strength.

My wife says same thing, lots of trash mail, but does not like us economy.

Yes,really trash. In my place we could measure it and sell it to the metal scrapper. Sometimes they buy used paper as well there.

My husband gave me the used bottled of liquid soap for it. Before i didnt understand. Funny.
