Does Tax Transcript need to be notarized?

No. I've always sent copies of the tax return printed out from my computer.

Doesn't have to be notarized. I went to my interview with a 1040EZ on my hand printed right out of my fiance's computer and got approved

You get an envelope from the IRS for each tax year for tax transcripts, copy those for your application. We just brought in each transcript for each tax year in the original envelop, just a quick glance at those and it was over.

Not even sure how you can even get these notarized, its not your document nor signature on these, only thing a notary does is gets your photo ID and stamps that piece of paper even without reading it, that it is your signature you sign in front of that notary. This is not your document, belongs to the IRS and no place to put your signature on it.
