Okay, I've been trying to read the student guide and everything is not making any sense at all. So, I hope someone could enlighten me about these programs. I'm planning to get a student visa for my sister who will be graduating highschool next year. She'll only be 16 by then. Now with the SEVIS/SEVP programs, which school should make a generated I-20 form? The school that she'll be graduating from or the school that she'll be enrolling for college? Second, I am not finding the Form I-20A-B in the USCIS website. Where can I download this form? Lastly, is it gonna be a red flag for having a family member in the US? I read that every applicant should be able to provide for themselves financially and could show that she still has ties to her country. She'll only be 16, is it okay if I pay for her tuition? Can I claim here as my dependent knowing that she'll be a full-time student by then?

I'm sorry I have too many questions. I hope you could enlighten me. Thanks in advance!

SEVP is a program and SEVIS is the system.

School can be have SEVP which is Student and Exchange Visitor Program, all international students are monitored and tracked by system called SEVIS.

The school where your sister would be accepted would issue her a I-20 and she has to show she has enough ties to her home country that she would return back to her home country after her education.

You can show you would be responsible for her tution, room, boarding etc that is not a problem.

Thank you so much for enlightening me. Is there a way my sister could work off campus while studying? Paying for college thru out of pocket seems a lot. I was wondering if this is possible. Thanks once again

No, she can not. She is there to study. She can try to gain employment on campus not to exceed 20 hrs per week.
