no noa1

i mailed a k1 visa package on july 5 2011, uscis received the package on july 7 2011 according to express tracking and the processing fee was taken out of my account on july 9th 2011. i still havent received my noa1 (reciept #) has anyone else had this? and does anyone know when i should be getting this or if id be getting my noa1 and noa2 together

I would call them and see whats up. did you receive any email message or text, if applicable?

Did sign the form to get text messages/email sent? Did you check to see if the check was cashed? If you got an email/text or the check was cashed I wouldn't worry to much about it. I have seen many people on here say they never received any NOA 1 but their application was in the system. If you signed the form to receive email/text and your check has not been cashed, then it is time to contact them to check on it.

I'm in the July Filers thread in the AOS from work or other visas section and there was another couple who sent their AOS in early July and JUST got their NOA's late last night! They were getting pretty discouraged since everyone else in the thread was getting noa's, touches, biometrics etc. Their checks will havent been cashed, either.

They were getting discouraged too because a month to get NOA's is rather long. I hope you hear soon and dont give up, keep calling. I know I would, til someone found my packet...If you dont hear in another week, maybe consider having your first checks voided and sending in another packet altogether. I know it sucks and I'm really really sorry you have to go through that

Hi, Just saw this post... Yes, we are in the same situation. USCIS told us to call back after 30 days. I noticed last night in the instructions for the G-1145 I was to have clipped it to the I-129F but I put it behind the G325A's I am sure. Ours may have not been noticed. Our check was cashed and I have heard many people say if your check is cashed they are processing it. I have found many other posts of folks with no NOA1 and evenutally getting their NOA2 so I am trying not to worry about it as every says. Did you send the petition package certified? I also use a mail box not my residence. I rent the upper story of a home and they have not set up separate mail for my apartment. I don't want to take any chances of anything getting lost in the process. So I was concerned it got lost because of this. Is this a possibility for you, too?

Just to update, I did call USCIS and at least got a receipt number and they will be sending the NOA1 out again. There was an issue with not sending it to my post office box-it got returned.

I never received mine. It got lost in the mail. The VJ term (NOA1) is of little to no importance. The only thing that matters is you receiving your case number which you probably already have it assigned to you. You just need to call USCIS and get it. No problems or worries.
