Sorry, but the dates that CSC posts are NOT estimates. They are purely mechanical - 6 months before the date the "estimate" was given. The only meaning it has is that it allows CSC to ignore all questions until they've had the application for 6 months past the NOA1 date.

In order to estimate the date for an NOA2, the first step is to fill in your timeline (My Assistant, then edit timeline). Once you do that, the VJ computer will give you an estimate, based on the time it took for recent approvals. I expect that this estimate is too long, since it reflects many March, April and May folks who were help up by the IMBRA mess.

I think a better way to estimate is to look at their processing rate (CSC did 111 in August, and is on track for 130+ this month). Then look go to the immigration timelines tab, sort on NOA1 date, and see how many people are ahead of you. I post estimates weekly. My estimate last week was that March, April and May NOA1's would be cleared in September, and the June and July NOA1s would be cleared in October. Of course, this assumes that the rate stays the same (or better), and that they go in order. Neither is a sure thing.

Tom

Thank for for updating your timeline. (My Assistant, then edit/add my timeline.)

There is no way to tell how long it will take. The 6 months is just to keep you off there back and give them something to say if they don't feel like being helpful that day. Usually that's everyday. But don't let this get you down. Everything should be fine, things are picking up.

Roll a dice and see what number comes up, that's how many months you will have to wait!!

That's about how much sense USCIS makes!

In my case, I guess I needed to roll 2 dice becoz I'm over 6 months now!!!

Gonna try again.

Hi guys! this is marie..actually, im a neophyte in this site!!! whew!! this site is amazing!!! i cant help myself but to be amazed on how helpful this site is to people applying for fiancee or spousal visa.

for some info, I am from the Philippines. My fiance (from Texas) and I will meet for the first time this Friday. Anyway, this is our situation... All the supporting documents including the biographic forms, the letter of intent to marry, I-129F, proof of ongoing relationship etc. are complete already. We only lack the proof of meeting but its not a problem because we will be with each other soon... My fiance will submit the I-129F upon his return to the US this October.

My concern is, as of the moment I dont have a passport yet because I dont mind getting one before because I never thought i'll be out of my country. Well, I am pretty aware that my fiance can submit the I-129F even without the passport since it is not a requirement so that I-129F will be complete..

I can probably get my passport in December because of some reasons...Do you think it will not be that late? If things will go smoothly, will I do not need my passport by December????

Thanks for the ideas!!!

More Power!!! Godbless!!! :innocent:

Marie (F)

May 2007 - arrived in Texas

June 2007 - our "big day"

November 2007 - 2-yr GC received

December 2009 - 10-yr GC received

Citizenship by next year!!!!
