If i am sponsor for 1 person in this case my wife,will income of 24000 USD a year meet minimal federal poverty line???? If not what then???

Federal Income Guidelines 2011 Looks like that you'll be fine alone if I read this right, no sponsor needed.

Do you have children, other dependents or have you previously sponsored an immigrant who is now a Legal Permanent Resident of the USA? If the answer is now to all those questions, yes the income stated above is sufficient PROVIDED it is W2 employee income.
