hey everyone,

me and my fiance just recently applied for our k-1 visa, ours was sent to Vermont. We got a letter stating they received it july 15/2011, and we did end up getting our noa1 hardcopy. But we check up on our status and everything on the USCIS website to see if we have been touched and we havent. i see alot of people on this site looking on there k-1 visa timelines and alot i see our touched within 3 days to two weeks...its august 6 now so its been 22 days...i know some people dont even get a touch from there visa, or they get a touch almost when they get there visa....but why havent we been touched yet? is there a reason? does this mean the VSC hasnt even taken a look at our file yet?

Its too early for them to even look at your file. I haven't been touched since my noa1, which was may 9th. I'm almost into 90 days and not a single touch. Don't worry. I know its a waiting game. Good luck.

By all accounts the "touch" system is not always reliable. Case in point, we never registered one -- but our petition went through quickly.

17-Jan-10 - Filed K-1

26-Apr-10 - Approved

06-May-10 - Entered POE

24-May-10 - Married

22-Jul-10 - Filed AOS

24-Sep-10 - Biometrics Appointment

18-Nov-10 - Approved

29-Nov-10 - Received Green Card

uscis touched me for almost a month now and still nothing, QQ...hopefully the touch meant some1 picked up my packet and started the background checks, etc...

Every minute felt like an eternity time, clearly as if it had malicious intent, slowly ebbing away from me. I clenched my teeth, and keeping myself from crying was the only thing I could do…
