FPU USEM 2nd Interview

7 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

Hi fellow VJ! Can anyone please enlighten me on what's next for us. I have had a 2nd interview with FPU investigator and I had signed my sworn statement and the head of FPU had signed it as well. I would like to know if I would need another Consular Officer interview before a decision can be made on our visa?

Have your US Citizen petitioner call USCIS and try to find out. My guess would be though that if the FPU interview results satisfied them they will notify the Embassy and you should hear from them in a couple days or weeks. If it went badly they will notify the petitioner that the petition is being revoked.

Thanks for this info. We are on the consulate stage at this point. Our petition had been approved already but we have to go through AR after the interview and now FPU interview. We are waiting one more week before we email the embassy and ask for an update on our visa application.

VJ, this is an update on our case. I had received this email from USEM today:

"Today, August 16, 2011, we sent you a call-in letter to submit a valid passport and a police clearance from Taiwan for you. The documentation must be sent to the U.S. Embassy via any branch of 2GO courier service (Attn: Immigrant Visa Branch), together with a copy of our August 16 letter.

For specific instructions on how to obtain Taiwanese police clearance you may visit our website at http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9776.

Once we receive the requested documentation and complete our review of the case, we will notify you."

Hope this is a good sign. I have already submitted my passport and police clearance 2 months ago. Im praying for a visa approval soon.
