Based on your description. I don't believe this is related to prior arrest. It is my understanding that they review all information before the actual interview. If interviewer had more questions about prior arrests, you would have been asked to provide more information.

It could be nothing.. So i think best way to deal with this is to, try not to get this bother with your normal routines.

You really need to calm down.

The response you got at the conclusion of your interview is a standard one. The I.O. who interviewed you put your file on a stack of files that need to be signed off at a superior officer. Nothing unusual at all. If you don't have any dead bodies in he closet, the next letter you will receive in about 4 weeks is the N-445 with the Oath appointment.

Don't go gagga over nothing. The old arrests are totally irrelevant for naturalization purposes and everything is "normal" here.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Latest update is that I called the USCIS number after 11 days and they gave me the most generic answer ever. The answer was that your application is under review with a supervisor and to wait 90 days before contacting USCIS about this case. I said I already know all this and wanted to know what the reason for the delay was? She said interviewing officers don't have the authority to approve all cases and that's why it was passed on to a supervisor. I think these USCIS phone agents are trained to feed us this kind of nonsense.

Does anyone think scheduling INFOPASS at this point is a good idea?

I need to travel after next week and want to know if it can have any sort of repercussions on my oath ceremony and naturalization?

Waiting for response !!!

If you were not convicted you should be fine I don't think you will get denied but you will get approved. Good luck.

Hello thank you for the timely respond. I was convicted and plea guilty to a crime which i should not got involve in 7 years ago." I WAS CONVICTED TO A CRIME".i finish and had my case dismiss and and set aside and a plead not guilty entered also my unsupervised probation was cleared in 2012 which was 2 years ago. do you think its relevant for USCIS to hold my naturalaztion for an approval ?

OR DO YOU THINK I FALL UNDER GOOD MORAL CHARTER? does my cimt start on the day of conviction or the day after probation was overto file for us citizen? im very confuse with this process.

the past crime was 7 years ago and i been a LPR for over 28 years now .

The IO who interviewed didn't talk to you about it right? That topic of being convicted should have been asked....you didn't clear it from her?

Friscoflip the IO did ask me about it . But the IO officer said since the probation ended 2012 they have to look into. He also said they will look carefully onto my application and there should be a decision within 1 to 2 months . What I don't understand is if the crime was 7 years ago does cimt look back from the day of the conviction or after the probation has ended ? I thought it was from the day of the conviction to count 5 years to show good moral character or it is vice versa?
