This question is Cuba specific. Has anyone's fiance/family member gone through the permuta process in preparation of leaving Cuba? Were there any ramifications once they applied for the Carta Blanca? Do you know of the timeline in which the permuta has to be completed for it to not raise any eyebrows with the Cuban government? Thanks.

This doesn't have to do with K-1 and would be best posted in the regional section for that country. You may even find other people have asked this already in there.

Easy. You can't. The person who does the permuta loses the house. You need to do the permuta like 4 years ahead of time. Otherwise you slow down your carta blanca (a long time).

Might even be 10 years

My fiance has an apartment. He is trying to swap his apartment and his mother's house for a better house to have solely in her name once he leaves Cuba.I'm looking for a timeline in which this would have to be complete for the Cuban government not to slow down the carta blanca.
