Switching jobs just after filing petition for K1

I have been researching all over VJ and other sites about switching jobs during the process. (By the way I just sent it off 7/15/11.) Everyone is saying not to worry-the job response was true when you sent the paperwork. Well, I will be making a few thousand more a year (have been a little worried because my income was right on the border of enough with my old job)and I did not fill the I134 out correctly I noticed after the fact and then there is still eventually his interview. I feel they need to know there was a change. I had given up on ever hearing back from the job as I applied for it well over a month ago. Should I just wait for the RFE on the I-134? Can I act pre-emptively once I get the NOA1? Anyone had any experience that might shed some light on this?

7/15/11 Sent K1 Petition to Lockbox

8/10/11 STILL NO NOA1!

8/12/11 Called USCIS to get receipt number-NOA1 will be resent

8/16/11 Received NOA1 with date of 7/20/11

1/3/12 NOA2!!!

1/12/12 Got email notice we are through the NVC.

The I-134 is not needed or used until the interview and you are not ment to fill it out until as close to the interview as possible..

So the one you sent is going to be disregarded anyways.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Im assuming you're Wendy and you are the petitioner.

Firstly welcome to VJ.

Now your post is a bit confusing.

When you compiled your I-129F package, you should not have included an I134 because that comes at the time of the interview. Meaning, around the time of your approval NOA2 (maybe around 1 month before), you should start gathering information such as tax-transcripts and financial support I134 form with your pay-stub, bank account, sponsorhip, co-sponsorship, etc.

Seems that you are yet to get there for a while.

So if you are about to switch or have just made the switch to a new employer, you dont have anything to worry about. You will have ample time to prove your income with 2+ months of paystubs, bank balance, income statement from your new employer, etc.

Have you read the guide here on the top.

It simply points out what required documents are a must. I134 is certainly not one of them.

Cheers,

Chigs

We of cos did the i 864 for cr1... but we filed at the first of November 2010 and by mid november I found a much better job. So at the time for the NVC documents (k1 visa doesn't sit there like cr1) i simply filled out an i 864 showing my new employer, pay stubs, job letter etc. There were no issues. I think a lot of ppl do this especially during this day and age....

Ive also even seen posts where they get a payraise and simply take the new fiancial forms to the interview showing the increase in salary...

No worries, just save your pay stubs and other docs and it will be fine!!

Good luck...

I wondered if I didn't need to send it yet. I bought a book and read alot of different sites and got conflicting info. I figured it was better to send too much than too little. I have the package well-organized so they could chuck whatever did not apply. Thank you all for putting my fears to rest. I have already filled out a new I134 based on my new employment, will save paystubs (I do that anyway :)), get a letter, and order IRS tax records for the interview. Thank you thank you thank you VJ community!!!
