Hi everybody,

In the N-400 Application Part-8 :

A. How many times have you been married (including annulled marriages)? []

G. How many times has your current spouse been married(including annulled marriages)? []

I and my wife never been married before, so to answer this question should I put [0] or [1] on both ?

I did put [1] for question "A", and [0] for question "G", am I right?

Million Thanks!.

Just have to count the number of times each of you said, "I do", each of you did that one time, apparently to each other.

Thanks for the quick answer, so I have never been married but now, you mean I will put answer A number one 1 , and my wife has never been married but only with me so G. is 0 ?

You should answer 1 for both questions

OK then I will answer 1 for both I believe. Thanks a lot

She can't be your wife if you put 0

Since she said I do ONCE to you, you put 1 for her.

Have to admit to being thrown by this question too, the first time I read it, its that "have" that is confusing that kind of implies, only previous marriages.

Could have rephrased this question to simply, "How many times were you married." Or, How many times were you married including your present marriage.

But since you already "have" been married including your present spouse, that marriage should also be counted.

Since for both you and your spouse, this is for both of you only married once and to each other, you answer 1 for both of you, can't be any clearer than this.

Wife's friend raised eyebrows at her interview, was married five time, but only once to a US citizen. She just responded, haven't learned how to pick out the right man yet and was dropped.

Now if you were the US citizen married ten times to immigrants, that would really raise eyebrows.

Didn't we already go through this stuff with the AOS? Feel I recall something to this effect, but apparently the USCIS forgot all about it for the N-400. Maybe the USCIS thinks she got her green card out of a Cracker Jack box.
