Do you fit one of the criteria for expedite? Do you have extremely good proof? Then you request the expedite. You will hear from them and they will request your proof. They will look over the proof and then say yes or no.

An initial call can nelp, but you will need to fax your documentation for the expedite (deployment papers or whatever). You/ your lawyer will need to do the same again at interview stage, an expedite doesn't carry over from one stage to the next.

Every month, the Visa Office (VO) establishes Qualifying Dates that determine if a petition will be eligible for processing. What does this mean, do you know, please??? Thank you!

Are you a greencard holder petitioning for a spouse by any chance? Qualifying dates/ priority dates are for visa categories that have waitinglists, such as the spouse or children of permanent residents; if you are a greencard holder, then no expedite can be approved until the visa number is current. A spouse of a US citizen's visa will get processed immediately.
