My parents brought me here 20 years ago as a kid and I have lived in the states ever since. Needless to say, I've been out of status for the longest time. I have been working and once had an employer sponsored me(abt 5 years ago) but that fell apart when they couldnt show that they cant afford to pay my salary. A few months ago, I got married to a USC and file 765/130/485 and my interview is in about a week.

Do any of you see any problems with my interview? I am just nervous and looking for your thoughts.

As long as you can proof that your marriage is legit and your spouse can sponsor you.. Or have a cosponsor, and you don't have a criminal record, I think you will be fine.

As long as You can prove bona fide marriage you are going to be fine

As long as you entered US legally (seems like), shouldn't be a problem at all.

thanks for all your input...i have most of the items listed on the interview letter and i came here legally as a tourist with my parents.

I also really think you will be fine! You've been out of status for a long time, but it was not exactly your fault, it was your parents'... As long as you're in a bona fide marriage, you should be good to go. You've already been granted a EAD and have an interview, so it looks like you're on your way. Good luck

Be ready to answer any questions about why you overstayed, etc. But the way I see it is, you've had your EAD approved and you're married to a USC. All will be forgiven.

I didnt think that there was any significance to obtaining the EAD but just part of the process.

Your correct - there is no significance in getting the EAD - different set of criteria.

AOS is much more difficult.

As stated above - if you can prove your marriage is legit, and you entered the US legally, you should be ok.
