I-131 (Advance Parole) question (filing w/ AOS)

Now that we're married, my wife and I are in the process of completing the AOS/EAD/AP paperwork.

In Part 3 on the Advance Parole form it has fields for date of departure and length of visit. The reason we are applying for AP is that her grandmother is elderly and in poor health, and obviously she wants to be able to travel back to England if necessary for a funeral. But also obviously we don't have any idea if this will be necessary (God willing, it won't) and if necessary what the date of travel would be.

We have prepared an attachment detailing this potential need to travel to her grandmother's funeral as the reason for applying for AP.

So my question is: fill in a placeholder date and length of visit, mark the two fields as "(See Attachment 1)", or leave these fields blank altogether? I don't want it kicked back to us because we made up a date, but I don't want it kicked back to us because we left it blank or wrote "(See Attachment 1)" if we shouldn't have. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Brent & Andrea

There is no need to attach anything. There is no need to explain anything as you're filing it with AOS. You don't have to write a date, you put "unknown" and "multiple trips" and you'll be fine.
