Hi,

I wonder if i need to pay any fee during my green card interview? My interview is at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

It is for IR1 - Spouse category.

Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong. If you already paid for the $88 AOS & $404 IV fees to NVC before the interview, then you should be okay!

When is your interview? Can you share your interview experience later? We will have our interview in Kuala Lumpur too! Thanks!

Well poo - tis hard to ascertain how to answer you, as you never indicated filing location in yer profile.

It says 'N/A' for now.

If you had NVC paperwork intake, yer done, with exception of medical exam fees and visa packet shipping fees.

Otherwise, you have more fees to pay to KL, US Embassy IV unit, for any DCF intake. There's a banking instruction to use, on the US Embassy/KL website, for Direct Consular Filing, have you reviewed it? It tells you how to pay, where to pay.

---

Edit - aha - more poo - you changed yer filing location to CSC. Assuming NVC intake, all yt ou have to pay for (now) is medical exam and visa packet delivery.

But what do I know? Time for curry laksa (Penang laksa is abysmal)

yes. already paid the AOS and IV fee. I am not sure if another fee needed to pay during interview so that i can prepare for it. My interview will be next week.

I would suggest you to bring some cash (Ringgit Malaysia) for your interview. They do accept cash! I don't know if they accept any credit card.

If you are approved for a visa, you can pick it up the next day. I heard that the embassy doesn't use courier service to return your passport.

Also, when did you file I-130 with USCIS and when did you receive your NOA2? Do you mind to tell me about your timeline? I'm still waiting for the NOA2!

Thanks!

Oh, I just found the new info about the visa delivery!

The embassy is using the Aramex courier service to return your passport. There are no extra fees associated with this service. The cost for Aramex to return your visa and passport to you is included in the visa application fee.

Here is the details:
