Embassy Review : My interview was on July 2011. I arrived at consular at 8:30am, line up for an escort pass for 8:50am together with non-immigrant visa. This process takes 30mins as there are many non-immigrant visa. I went thru the gate and leave my car key and cellphone at the gate house.

I waited for around 5 mins just to submit the medical report and my current/old passport. Then i was asked to come back at 1:30pm for the actual interview. I went to Times square to kill my time.

I arrived back to consular at 1:10pm then line up for a bit for the escort pass again. This time only with the immigrant visa with around 6-7 applicants. Once i enter the interview lobby i waited there for around 30 mins just to get my finger print and thumb scanning. Then waited for another 30mins for the actual interview after all the applicants completed their finger scan. It was around 2:30pm when my actual interview started. Such a long wait

The interview question is nothing complicated just about how you know your spouse, when you met her, etc. So then i got my visa approved. I waited another 20mins there after the interview just to get the instruction on where to get my immigrant visa collect.

The overall interview process just take about 4-5mins but the whole waiting process make me feel bored. O well, at least i got my visa approved Who cares the waiting.
