On Feb.22 we got our NOA1,so it's been almost 6 months with no answer from Vermont Service .

I'm wondering if this is normal?

Are anybody else a Feb. Filler?Maybe also from Germany?

I Hope it will finally be over.....

Have you called USCIS? If so, what did they told you? I guess you can put in a service request, since 6 months have passed

I think it will be a good idea if you call the USCIS and check with them otherwise you can set up appointment with the InfoPass. It will help a lot. 6 months without RFE is not a usual thing. Even if I am originally From Ethiopia, my fiancee is living in Germay and the process is going to take place at Frankfurt. US Embassy. we also approved in less than 85 days from CSC and waiting for the NVC to send the packet to the embassy.

Good luck

It is fairly normal. VSC was taking 6+ months to approve petitions not too long ago. It happens.

Once you reach six months, I would give them a call. If you call now, they'll likely tell you to wait another 30 days anyway.

You haven't hit five months yet. February 22 - July 22 = five months.

If you check out Igor's List, you'll see Feb/March being approved lately.

Hi

we also filled with Vermont but in December. We called them in the beginning of June there told us that we were approved and the NOA 2 was send. After two weeks still nothing came we called again. They said the same. Two days later we got the email saying that our NOA2 was approved on June 28th. So it is up to us to guess what was the truth here. It "only" took them 191 days :o. I still think it is redicoulous compared to the avarage. In my opinion to call ask for your status cant hurt and at least it does give you the feeling of doing something.

so long stay strong and patience - in the end it will be worth it!

Julie

NOA2 on 06/28/11

I received my NOA1 on February 16. Also still no word. However, you are a bit off on the "6-month" thing; you are actually still about 6 days shy of 6 months since your NOA1's arrival.

Regardless, I am right there with you, waiting and waiting. I am thinking to contact my state senator's office, come Monday, to see if they can do some constituency work to get my case expedited. They are all about winning the voters, so I think it may be a good plan!

Bless you, and all the best!
