Hello,

In the instructions for one of the NOA2 forms, it says that everything filled out in Chinese needs to be translated into English by a certified translator.

Can anyone suggest the name and contact information for a good translator in China who has reasonable rates?

They need to be able to speak Mandarin Chinese and English. Their email address, QQ or or IM address is preferred.

Thanks,

I'm confused. A NOA2 Form(s) I never heard of any instructions for a NOA2 Form(s). Are you sure you don't mean some other type of Form(s). China might be different? I don't know ?

Hey Tim/Mav

In the "K1 Appointment Letter", it says: "Two copies of the DS-156 form in English with original signatures"

In the "K Instruction Packet" it says: "Translations: All documents not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations. A competent translator must certify the translation and swear to the accuracy of the document before a notary public."

Maybe China is different than the process for the people from the Phillipines.

OK. Still confused though. The 129-F you submitted has no bearing on a DS-156 Form. That is later after the NOA2. Or the NOA1. However, Birth Certificates and/or any other types of Documents should be translated in English for the Original 129-F.

Also, you are NOW using : K-1 Appointment Letter. LOL. WHAT. ? Are you sure you don't mean your Interview is coming up and preparing Documents for that.

I Googled a"K" Instruction Packet and it came-up as "KY Jelly" . Just a joke. It would be nice if you had a timeline to see where you are in the process instead of all these guesses.

Also, I never really heard of one form requiring a Notory public. (That is optional) I'm trying to help but a bit confused.

if you have 'other stuff for translation'

that is not:

--birth certificate

--police clearance certificate

--certificate of no marry/single

then almost any friend can do it, using the standard translator attestation statement .

If it's one of those 3 documents, you'll want to get into a chinese notarial translation office, and have white books produced on each of those things - GUZ IV expects to see white books, a notarial translation document.

read this stuff -> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/228853-notarial-birth-certificate/ ignore the bickering, paste the chinese text in an email to yer lass.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Sounds like you have PACKET 3. Your NOA2 is Approved. I see.

You are confused too. A NOA2 does not "get approved". Petitions get approved. "NOA2" is a term invented here on VJ ans has no official meaning. It just means second notice (From I-797c)which could be an RFE or an approval notice. You will receive many more I-797c forms as you continue through AOS and ROC.

Hey Matt & Bing,

Yup, seems like Tim/Mav was confused on that too.

My fiancee will be required to fill out many more forms in Packet 3 and Packet 4.

And I'll be required to fill out the I-134 - Evidence of Support form.

I am still new to this. I do not profess to know much about it.

But when I ask for help, that is all I expect. I don't have time to waste on silly egos or any other such stupidity.

When my fiancee fills out the forms in Chinese, they need to be translated. I cannot afford ANY translation errors as that would cause delays and problems.

That is why I ask for a referral to a good Chinese translator. I didn't know it would be such a big ordeal to ask for this here.

I guess I'll ask around elsewhere.

Take care,

forms? Immigration forms?

most of that stuff needs to be in english

and most of the forms are in fillable pdf format.

You could handle most of it, emailing the filled forms to her (or creating new pdf output versions with cutepdf)
