Today is rainy and cold. The only bright AOS spot is that someone was approved today. But not us. We are in that lucky group that was transfered to CSC where our file sits on a desk or in a box and nothing happens. I know, I know -- They have control and they have no heart. Still, it helps a bit to complain.

Hang in there and before you know it it will be approved. Most that have been transfered have not required an interview....that is about a month of wait time ( notice date to appointment date ) .

Flying Eagle and Springfox, congratulations on your approvals! You can now put this process to rest for a year and a half. =)

We were also approved last Friday (Oct 14). Although, interview didn't go as I had expected it. I guess it was because we weren't well prepared (there was a glitch in the USCIS system that sent us an approval notice putting us in a relax-mode). But what matters now is that my husband will have his GC in a week! =)

Good luck to those who are still waiting.

You should receive the card any day now. I understand, this process has tested our patience to the limits, but we are almost there! At least our spouses are now with us, and we are going through this together (unlike K-1 applicants).

Best of luck! Hope to hear the good news very soon.

congratulations to everyone who were recently approved!!!

its been awhile since I last check visajourney and the USCIS website. I saw a big DECISION as the new case status and a letter was mailed to us but haven't receive it yet, probably tomorrow. Does this mean my GC is already approved? or this is an RFE??? (I hope not).

My wife had her first job interview last Friday and was hired yesterday, three weeks after receiving her EAD card. She will be working for a large corporation here in downtown San Diego as a CSR/accounts receivable clerk. She is incredibly excited to find a position that will allow her to improve her language skills and demonstrate the skills she learned back in Russia here in America.

Good for both of you! Congrats! It's rare to land such an opportunity right at the beginning of a journey in the US. She must be a very smart lady.

Thank you! We feel a bit lucky right now. I knew that once she got an interview she would be able to impress them enough, so when she got the call for her first one at the two week mark after EAD, I knew her chances were good. We had plenty of time to prepare her resume over the past few months and had her degrees evaluated prior to arrival. The funny thing is they told her at her second interview that she was probably over-qualified for the position she was interviewing for and offered her a higher position. Yeah, she's a smart lady, but I feel it was her ambition that helped her secure this position so quickly.

Of course she is smart she married him :bonk::ot2::dance:

Thanks Cristian
