hey my husband has filed the petition for me last year in September, got my approval in feb 2011, and then till the end of march my NVC # but since then did not hear from them.. I m really worried ..Can anyone explain how much will it take and why is it taking so long?

You should probably fill out a DS-3032, continue on with NVC processing for an IR-1/CR-1 visa, sounds like (by now) if you actually had a K-3 visa in play - the Embassy IV unit SHOULD have sent you a packet 3, by now.

No Packet 3 from Embassy IV Unit? No K-3 visa,

and I'm betting that's cause the I-129F petition was administratively closed at NVC when the I-130 and I-129F arrived together at NVC.

So, time to check in for NVC processing, yer USCitizen spouse has some work to do. I'm guessing the casefile has been at NVC for some time, already.
