Hello everyone, I Spoke to my brother who will sponsor my Fiancee, he is in the Army. I asked him if he could get a letter from his CO stating his pay and rank because i seen this is what some people on the forums have done. His response was (I don't need a letter stating that. I have what's called an les or erb. It shows my pay taxable and non and the other shows everything about my career, awards, schools, etc) can anyone confirm this to be accurate?

Also in the I-134 for question 7 he listed other personal property at $100,000 and savings of $4,000 is this necessary to state or will it just raise more questions and require more proof of assets?

Question 8 he put partially dependent for his wife who he is separated from and not living with, is this accurate? What does partially dependent mean?

Question 9, He put none but he married a Brazilian years back who was already in the U.S at the time, he doesn't recall submitting an affidavit of support because she did the whole process for him while he was in Iraq during the war? I believe she even had her AOS interview without him because he was in combat and it was granted! I would assume that an affidavit was filed but as i said he doesn't think so.

#10 He also put none sure this is incorrect, based on #9 could this be a problem? I also cant locate the Brazilian woman to ask her anything!

My Proposal to kristine!!! :)

Mike,

His LES will show the number of years he has been in, his pay grade and his income for month as well as the year. I would also include his LES from December of last year. You can also get him to print off a Statement of Service, it is the same form needed for a VA loan and shows his length of service. Tell him he can print it right from AKO.

I can't help you much with question 7, 8 or 9, maybe someone else can.

mypay.gov you can get the ERB or LES or even the W2. You dont need to list assets if he makes the 100% since hes military. just annual income.

The 100% won't apply to him, as he is the co-sponsor. It is 100% for those in the military sponsoring a spouse or child.

If he lists assets, then he needs to provide the documents proving those assets. If he doesn't need them, and doesn't want to bother getting the documents for them, then leave them off.

For #8, I have no idea. Perhaps someone else might chime in that knows. My only thoughts on it would be he could mark it that way, and put 'estranged spouse (separated)' for his relationship to her.

For 9, if he married her and then did the AOS, then he had to have provided an I-864.

For 10, he married her after she was already in the US, so doesn't sound like he petitioned for her to get a visa.
