For those who got some experience with NVC Expedition, i really need your kind advice. My case has been expedited by NVC and forwarded to the US Consulate. NVC told my husband this when he called them last week thursday. Then we sent am email to the US Consulate requesting for expediton and the status of the case. But the US Consulate is yet to respond to any of our emails. What could be wrong? Is it that the US Consulate has not received our documents from the NVC? Also, what is RFE? the NVC never requested for an RFE from us.

pls advice me!

An RFE is a Request for Further Evidence. This is done when the department needs more evidence. If NVC expedited your case, they may not have had time to issue an RFE...or simply there may haven't been one

It has only been 6 days since the expedite was requested. It is quite possible the consulate doesn't have your petition yet, keep calling and trying

Good luck

Pearl Momma, I might have answered your question on your last post. But in any case, calling the Consulate will not help matters. When i called the American Citizens line to find out if I could be transferred to the visa section, I was told they only respond by either a visit or by phone call. Mine took about 9 days to hear back. I suggest you give it a couple more days.

Also, RFE means Request for Evidence. I think you're gone past that now.

All the best!!

At the moment I think their e-mails are a bit backlogged. It took them 1.5 weeks to reply to my first email (with daily code in subject line), and then another 5 days for them to reply to my reply. Granted this was different embassy, but yours may have a backlog of emails too.

So give it time :)

Total time from posting I-130 to VISA in hand 7 months 21 days :D
