Hello everyone,i am new on this site and found this at google by searching. I really need your help, can anyone help me?..please!

My fiance's petition was approved by January 19th, and they sent me a mail to my home address to letting me know that my case is eligible to be schuled for a visa interview. But i must pay the visa application fee before i can schedule a visa appointment. But then, when it comes to forms...the DS-156K and the DS-157K are still good(not expired yet) but the DS-156 form has already expired date on May 31,2011( it means this form is not good to be filled up and give to the embassy)..is there any suggestions how to get a new version for DS-156?was emailing them and asked if they can help my problem but same link they gave me from the letter they sent me..please help me!

I still have lots of trouble with my K1- visa application, I already paid for that visa's application through BPI today.

Sincerely,

Jen

You mean the date that the government has put on the form? It isn't uncommon for the forms to be expired, but still usable and accepted by the consulate.

Hi Jen,

this is my 1st time to post or reply, coz i am on they same situation as of today i am working about it ...yes before u can set your appointment for the interview u need to pay 1st at BPI and based on my experience today after paying u need to wait 4 to 6 hrs before u can set ur appointment then if u pay at the BPI afternoon time the best thing to do is to wait until tomorrow i call almost 6 time to the embassy today...and about the forms i am also concern about it i ask the live operator (whom i am talking for the appointment then she told me to call back again tomorrow coz they can not validate my payments yet) YES that's forms are still ok they still going to accept it...hope this info help you...

There's nothing to worry about. The Embassy will accept your DS-156.

Also, sometimes it takes a lot longer than 4-6 hours for your visa fee to register with the Embassy.

Good luck everyone! :star:

Thank you guys..it helps me really. Now my visa interview has been scheduled on July 28. But then,i am wondering for my daughter if she goes under my K1 visa which the petitioner is her father and he is a US citizen. My daughter has a philippine passport already, what should i do? Does my daughter needs a medical examination also?...please any advise?

Thanks alot! God bless us all!

if the petitioner meets the 5 year rule as a USCitizen, then instead of daughter coming in on a K-2 visa (which is another visa fee and application packet, btw) she could get a USA passport after a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) has been filed with the Embassy.

If he doesn't meet the 5 year rule, then K-2 visa would be best path for daughter.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
