Hi all,

I received a sms for my i129f this morning and when I checked my case status on the uscis page, it said: "On June 15, 2011, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions..".

So I just wanted to know if my NOA1 date was today (June 21) or June 15th?.. Or when I receive it in the mail?..

Please it is importat for my peace of mind even though I know 1-3 days won't make the biggest difference in the world..

Thank you for the reply.

Best,

I want to say June 15th. That will be more likely the date that will appear on your NOA1 hard copy.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

The so-called NOA1 is the first action on your case. In this case its the Receipt Notice being referred to. This NOA1, NOA2 terminology was invented on Visa Journey and really has no official meaning. When something happens on any case (throughout the K-1 Process including AOS and removing of conditions) you get a Form I-797c.

Your “NOA2” could be our approval, your denial or a RFE.

It would be better to simply refer to receipt notices, RFEs or approval notices, etc.

I see many people saying that their “NOA2 was approved” which makes no sense of course.
