I had called the NVC and gotten the Case Number and the IIN, should I go ahead or wait? NVC said that it takes 2-4 week to have the information input into the system. Others within the forum has went ahead and OPTIN anyway after they get the Case Number and IIN. The guides here said not to do anything until I hear from NVC first. What should I do?

About a year ago, I would recommend to send in the OPT IN as soon as ya got the GUZ #.

8 months ago, near-abouts, NVC had another slow down, started losing emails.

Then it seemed a pattern emerged: if you have received the AOS fee bill via email, then NVC is ready for the DS-3032 - regardless of EP or paper.

Since you already have the IIN:

IF you can log in to the online payment portal and see the AOS Fee Bill ready to be paid, then is 'safe' to send in the OPT IN email (which contains the DS-3032).

There's some internal switch at NVC, turned on to receive documents - so if you can SEE that AOS fee bill at the portal, that switch is on, is safe to send.

Whaddya got, at the portal ?

Some light reading ?

But note that I need to change up the NVC EP wiki page - it's a bit outdated for GUZ EP.

Thanks, guys, I figure I would just do it if I can start paying for the AOS. I just heard many different things regarding sending out the DS-3032. I remember just when I got the NO2, the letter said to wait 90 days or something and I kept calling until I got the Case number and IIS number also. It took me a couple of weeks to get them. They may say 45 days or 90 days in any applications, I wouldn't take their words at heart. It pays to be more proactive by calling the NVC for status. I had a good experience in talking to them. They are helpful in which I am surprised about that.

remember - most NVC Teleoperators are not trained in EP ops and

THe majority of VJ members utilize Ling Che's shortcuts for NVC paper processing

so concepts of 'what works' vs 'what they say' seems diammetrically opposed - VJ members 'do speed' and NVC TeleOperators 'say 20 days' on anything.
