Thank you so much guys!!! You've been wonderful and extremely supportive! (L)

The Ceremony today was great - very emotional.

And now I know why the letters are colored differently :). They are sorted by your arrival time at the Oath Ceremony, I think.

The blue ones in my case were 9:30 today, the white ones 10:00 and so on.

P.S. When they took my green card and threw it into what looked like a trash can, I instinctively freaked out :)

Congratulation :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::thumbs:

Hi Everyone...

We arrived at the Philly INS office at 7:55, cleared security and up to the 2nd floor by 8am. The receptionist took our Interview notice and advised us where to go.. Daughter was to be interviewed on the 2nd floor, I made my way up to the 3rd floor where my Interview Officer was waiting for me. He was very very pleasant. The interviewer went over the information on the application - travel dates needed to be updated for recent travel and then onto the interview questions.

1. What did the Declaration of Independence do?

2. If both the President and the VP cannot serve, who becomes President?

3.. What is the Supreme law of the land?

4. How many amendments to the Constitution?

5. We elect a US representative for how many years?

6. How many Justices on the Supreme Court?

He approved my application and invited me to participate in the Oath Ceremony Friday Oct 28th at 2pm. He was willing to walk with me to find where my daughter was to have that Officer put my Daughter in the same Oath Ceremony.... as we were walking down the hall.. we found her 3 door down with a very stern looking man. Daughter said he lightened up very early into the interview, approved her - didn't go over her application at all, as I had signed that I had prepared the document. He did ask her for more information about her underage drinking charge and giggled that it was changed to disorderly conduct/fighting.. He too gave her the invite for the Oath, Friday Oct 24th.

I dreaded this entire process as to date everything we did with the INS was a hassle... our files were MIA for about 18 months... anyway.. So glad it is over and Friday we free of the INS.

Question about the Passport; do we need to update our SSN to citizen before applying for Passports?

Congratulation Designer in advance for your upcoming Oath Ceremony. I am so glad to see that you are almost done.

However, we both have attended our interview at same INS office. In fact, my interview was placed at 20 days earlier than your's interview, when I was told that I can't have my Oath in October as all oath ceremony slots in philadelphia is already full for October. Does it mean, the INS officer was lying to me for some reason? Probably I am the unlucky one.

Wish a wonderful day on your oath ceremony.

There were 750 people at my ceremony!

WOW!

I am expecting a lot of people at my ceremony since it is held in big arena. Also, the instructions notify attendees to park in one of two parking structures depending on their last 3 digits of the A#.

In addition, based on the last 3 digits of the A#, we need to check in with the table that is marked between 000-099, 100-199, etc... where the digits belong to, so there are 10 tables for people to checkin. At checkin, we will be handed a colored paper and then once the ceremony is done, we need to go to the table that represents the color paper I/we have in hand to receive the certificate.

I am starting to think that this is going to be the hardest portion of this phase blink.gif

Taniya,

I am sorry that you have not been scheduled for your Oath yet. My IO was a very kind man named Mr. Graham. He said there were a few slots left for Friday's Oath. He put me and my Daughter in. He offered Friday, until he offered, the topic of Oath had not yet been discussed.

One of the first things I did Monday when posting about our Interview experience was to review you in the timeline - I was hoping to see you as scheduled for the 28th also.

Is not it strange, right? On my interview day, everything was perfect and I have a clean background. Even the officer told me that I have been approved. The only problem was, there are no slots remaining for scheduling oath on October. Hopefully I will be called soon.

Wish you all the best after becoming USC.
