Now the IV bill has been paid. Should we wait for NVC email instruction before sending DS-230 along with supporting documents? From one post that I read here, it seems we can send them right now.

How to send 2 photographs with electronic processing? Using PDF files too?

Thank you in advance!

As long as the IV bill appears as PAID on the payment portal site, then you can send the IV package; you don't need to wait for NVC to tell you to send it.

For scanning the pictures, this is what I did: I put both pictures on the scanner at the same time, one was face up and the other face down. I scanned that. I then flipped the pictures over, so the one that was facing up now faces down, and the one that was facing down now faces up. Then scanned that. I then added both as pdf files to the main pdf file containing the other documents. And that was it :)

Thanks,

Did you send in your documents in one big pdf file or separate files (one document in one pdf). Either way is ok with NVC?

I sent each package in one pdf file. There's no specific instructions on NVC's site, but it's recommended that it's in one pdf file instead of separate files. Just think about it, a reviewing officer would much prefer to just click and open one file then a bunch of files. Make the officer happy and put it into one file :)

hang on a mo -

Did you get a GZO # assigned yet? Receiving the GZO # (via email) is big indication that the OPT IN is accepted. DO NOT SEND IN ANYTHING via email (IV, AOS packets) until you have GZO #.

If you sent in stuff prior to GZO # being assigned, it's ok - just resend it after you have a GZO #, remembering to regenerate the barcoded coversheets - they will show the new GZO # instead of the old GUZ #.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
