WHEN IT IS TIME TO REMOVE THE RESIDENT CONDITION SHOULD WE GO TO A PROFESSIONAL TO GET PAPERWORK FILLED? I FOUND A PACKET ON THIS SITE THAT GIVES YOU GREAT INSTRUCTION TO GET EVERYTHING READY. SHOULD I STILL GO TO A PROFESSIONAL?

Why would you pay someone when its free here and you can do it on your own?

I'm doing mine right now by myself using VJ. My husband is deployed and I will be sending my packet for removal of conditions in a couple of months.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

The time to file to remove conditions is within the 90 day window before your 2 year green card expires, most people here do it themselves following the guides. It really is your choice whether you do it your self or pay for it to be done. The process takes the same time.

Good Luck.

Yes I saw the packet here on VJ and I even filled it out. It looks pretty simple. I just wasn't sure if it was a good idea. But Thankyou. I will be printing it out and sending it to them shortly.... His green card expires Sept 24, 2011. should I wait until june 24th to send it?

Yes I would wait until the 24th, if they receive it too early they can return the package.

Good Luck

Is there anything complicated about your case? For starters are you still married to the original petitioner?

Its been a while since I ventured into the upper forums, but as a general rule I avoid telling people they can do it on their own until I know there is nothing overly complicated about their case which a professional could help with.

Actually, double-check the exact date that the 90-day window begins. For example, my GC expires August 24, and so my 90-day window began May 26, NOT May 24. I have read about people whose packages got returned if they got there even a day earlier!
