Hello lovely people here ! i am new , and just found this forum . I need some help :unsure:

So my husband who is USC , he applied for my visa back in dec and he has sent the originals with the I130 application. I didnt know until now. What should we do.??

Did you certify any of the originals prior to sending i 130??? I'm sorry that happened...not sure how to get originals back don't think that's an option now. It clearly states copies on the instructions but maybe somebody else can chime in if they also did that. We sent all copies to USCIS and then at NVC we sent all originals with a certified copy of each and a letter asking for originals back at interview.

Maybe you can obtain a certified copy from where the document was issued.You will need either originals or certified copies for NVC..

I assume the NVC has reminded you that they want the originals. Might wanna start recollecting all those originals now.

Yes we got noa1 and then few weeks ago noa2 . and when we were collectiong documents for nvc. husband told me uscis needed originals and he has sent them with our application, I almost died. :bonk:

See if you can go to the places that gave the originals and get certified copies of them. Don't waste anytime...take them to the foreign ministry offices and create at least 2 to 3 back up certified copies as well.

In essence, the civil documents that you worked so hard to get, he tossed them.

I-130 documentation requirements say photocopies. He didn't read that part, apparently.

If he's not reading instructions, I'd be more worried for you.

Check the DS-230 intructions (you) and be certain of what's what, this time.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Go to the places you got the orginals...like we had our nikah in a Masjid...they have records of it there...they can give us an attested certified copy of it if we need it. But you Must not waste anytime...you need to figure out where all teh documents came from and go to those places and see if they can give you a certified copy from each place.

Not just photocopy a CERTIFIED.....

I am sorry to hear that. dont be discouraged . All you need to do is to do what ameena suggested above. It shouldnt be hard to get duplicates.

11/18/2010- Notice Date

03/16/2011- Case has been updated on website

04/20/2011- Received NOA2 approval email (Finally)

153 days from our NOA1 to NOA2 .

NVC Journey

04/05/2011: Received NVC Case #

05/30/2011 - Emailed DS3032 ( moving at snail's pace i know )

06/03/2011 - AOS fee Paid

06/03/2011 - Acceptance of DS3032

two originals?

You only have one original that was sent to USCIS...I'm saying make plenty of copies of the certified documents...we had 4 of each made. I sent the orignal with a certified copy to NVC. So I'm saying send two certified copies if you want...you do not have to and since you dont have the original idk if it would matter.

JUST BE SURE TO GET ENOUGH CERTIFIED COPIES THAT YOU HAVE BACK UPS :D
