Received Good News today - So What's next?

I just got off the phone today with NVC and they told me that my case is completed. A couple weeks back, they requested some information like my birth certificate so establish relationship with my parents since they are co-sponsoring my wife and step daughter. What really sucked is that I sent my papers in on a Thursday (5/26) and on Friday (5/27), I got a letter in the mail stating that my request to expedite my case has been granted by the US Embassy in the Philippines. I had to options, to send in a new set of papers to "ATTN: SUPERVISOR SUE" or just wait it out since my papers were delivered to NVC on 5/31. I chose to wait it out and it only took about 10 days for my case to be completed (6/10). Because my case is expedited, does anyone know how long it takes to have the interveiw scheduled? I already sent my wife to take her seminar and I plan to have her take her medical exam early next week. I'm hoping the interview gets scheduled in the next couple of weeks but is this wishful thinking? Has anyone else had their case expedited? Thanks for all your help.

I also just received notice that my wife's case is complete. How were you able to request her interview be expedited at the Embassy? Is it too late for me to request an expedited interview for my wife? Please advise.

Nonetheless...congrats!!.. It's been a LONG visa journey for us... we're in the home stretch and the finish line and our wives airplane is in sight.

I requested that my case be expedited early, as soon as the NVC received my case. My reason being was that because of the school schedule, I needed my family here before August so they can start school on time and still allow them to adjust to their new surroundings. The school session starts in the Philippines in late June so I also expressed how I didn't want to have to pay for a whole school year if they would only attend 1 month.

As for requesting your case be expedited, you can try to email IVManilaReplies@state.gov to see if they can assist you further.

Thanks for the reply. How long was it between the time you were notified about the interview date and the actual date of the interview appointment? From what I've been seeing, it's about 1 month out. Does anyone else have an experience with their case being expedited? And how long did it take for your interview to be scheduled?

You're welcome.

Our case was completed on the 23rd of July. We received the notification/ appoinment letter five days later (on the 28th) stating our interview schedule, which was set for September 25th.

So, almost two months.
